Before submitting your manuscript, please prepare the following documents in Microsoft Word to ensure anonymity:
Rename your submission files in this order: "Anonymized manuscript_Title” and "Title page_Title".
The manuscripts must be written in English using standard scientific conventions. The title must be concise and informative, may contain up to 14 words, and each word must be capitalized, formatted in Arial (14 pt, bold, centered). The abstract should use Arial (10 pt, single-spaced) and follow the maximum word count specified for each manuscript type. Keywords should use Arial (10 pt, italic) and include 4–5 terms, with the most significant keyword listed first.
The main text must be 1.5-spaced, justified, and written in Arial (11 pt), except for tables and figure captions. A single line space should separate each paragraph and section. Line numbers should be activated to assist the review process. If needed, subchapters should be formatted in Arial (11 pt, bold, left-aligned), while sub-subchapters should use Arial (11 pt, italic, left-aligned). References must follow APA style and should be listed alphabetically without numbering. Journal titles should follow standard international abbreviations. Authors should include at least 30 references, mostly from literature published within the last 5–10 years. No more than 20% of the total references should be books.
Each manuscript type has its own recommended word limit (excluding tables and references). Authors are encouraged to follow these limits to maintain clarity and focus; however, slightly longer submissions may be considered if the content is concise and well-justified. Authors are recommended to write the paper directly in the template file.
Before preparing a submission, authors are encouraged to review the conference’s scope and manuscript requirements. AJAWEL and the Animal Welfare Indonesia International Conference accept four types of manuscripts: Original Research Articles, Short Communications, Case Reports, and Review Articles. Terms and Agreement about Manuscript Content
Authors accept the terms of the following Copyright Agreement, and on submitting the full-text paper for possible publication to Animal Welfare Indonesia Conference Proceedings and Journal, Authors confirm, acknowledge, and agree expressly to the terms and conditions of this copyright agreement. This copyright agreement prevails and is binding on the contributing author(s).
Authors are responsible for their manuscript content, factual accuracy, scientific findings or opinions, and all material published in the Proceedings of the 5th AWI International Conference 2026. Our team takes no responsibility for these matters. Our editorial team has the authority to make the final decision, revise the manuscript, request raw data from authors to investigate allegations of plagiarism, image manipulation, or redundant publication, and impose sanctions.
Use of AI and Large Language Models
Large Language Models or LLMs (ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.) may be helpful in everyday tasks, but they should not be used to generate ideas, arguments, new content, and fabricated citations for the manuscript without carefully verifying the accuracy and validity of any statements produced. It also cannot be listed as an author because it cannot take responsibility for the content it generates. AI tools are permitted solely for language refinement, such as improving grammar, clarity, readability, and style. Any substantial use of AI beyond copy-editing must be briefly noted in the Methods section (or another appropriate section). All text produced with AI assistance must be checked carefully by the authors to ensure accuracy, avoid repetition, and prevent changes in meaning. Fabricated, imaginary, misleading, or unverifiable citations/references are strictly prohibited. The Editorial Team may reject manuscripts substantially written by AI or containing undisclosed AI-generated content or fabricated references.
